Restaurants and Brewery
It’s surprising how many dining options you have on Ocracoke Island—and best of all, not a chain restaurant among them. Choose from coffee shops, food trucks, a brewery, fine dining, pubs, a deli, a bakery, Italian, Greek, Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai, and more. Truly, whatever you’re in the mood for, there’s a place to satisfy every craving.
In a centuries-old fishing village, you can be sure seafood is the star of many menus, and most of that is local, including Spanish mackerel, mahi-mahi, drum, and flounder, as well as shellfish like blue crabs, clams, and North Carolina brown shrimp. Award-winning Woccocon Oysters, farm-raised in the waters around Ocracoke Island, are exceptional, too, and often show up on local menus.
