Campgrounds
There are several options for RV and tent camping on Ocracoke Island. Reservations are strongly recommended for all, especially during the peak season.
The National Park Service offers year-round camping at Ocracoke Campground, located a few miles outside of Ocracoke village. The 136-site campground offers restrooms and running water. RV hookups are not available, but the campsite can accommodate RVs and trailers. This campground is just a short walk from the beach and makes a great base for all your island adventures. Reservations can be made in advance here.
Jerniman’s Campground sits off a main road at the edge of the village, next door to the Ocracoke Variety Store and just across the street from popular restaurants. Teeter’s Campground is nestled in a residential area of the village and features a newly renovated bath house and complimentary Wi-Fi.
