Hammock Hills nature trail is a ¾ mile loop that will have you traversing through a rolling and beautiful pine-laden forest, offering an up-close experience with a diverse collection of coastal plants and wildlife. There’s a bench to rest at the halfway point with stunning views of the Pamlico Sound and surrounding salt marshes.

The Hammock Hills Nature Trail parking lot is located on Highway 12, across the street from the National Park Service’s Ocracoke Campground. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Bug repellent is recommended.
