Ocracoke’s pirate past comes to life during the annual Blackbeard Pirate Jamboree on October 30 & 31st. This family-friendly fall event celebrates the island’s deep connection to the infamous pirate Blackbeard with a historically accurate pirate encampment, living history demonstrations, music, sea shanties, artisan vendors, and hands-on activities for all ages.
Event highlights include a reenactment of Blackbeard’s final battle, along with pirate storytelling, interactive exhibits, and a dramatic finale honoring Blackbeard’s last days near Ocracoke.
